Singapore Government Agencies to Launch a Blockchain Technology Programme with $12 Million in Funding

The Enterprise Singapore, Infocomm Media Development Authority and the National Research Foundation Singapore have collaborated to launch a new research programme called The Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme (SBIP) for blockchain technology with SG$12 million in funding. This project is also supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the country’s central bank and financial regulator.

The funding for the SBIP will come from the National Research Foundation and will be used for developing, commercialising and encouraging companies to adopt blockchain technology in trade, logistics and supply chain.
